Our Work

Trans Healthcare Action recognises that our work must span from the individual level, supporting trans people to access the care they need, to the systemic level, advocating for a new trans health system. Our projects advance trans healthcare through coalition-building, community outreach, medical advocacy, and political engagement.

Through these projects, we aim to depathologise and decentralise trans healthcare, equip trans people to self-advocate and access care, reimagine trans health through informed consent and harm reduction models, and push for co-produced policies.

    Trans Survival Guide Zine Series

We are developing a series of survival guides for trans people in Ireland, covering topics such as navigating the doctor’s office, accessing gender-affirming care, and self-medicating.

  2. GP Action Project

We are gathering information about which healthcare providers offer gender-affirming services to help us assess barriers and develop resources.

  3. Progressing Trans Healthcare Coalition

We collaborate with other grassroots and civil society organisations for collective action around trans health.
